1. Ruin

This is one of the slower songs on the album with a bluesy, soulful jazz feel. I love the slow drum beat which matches minimal guitar chords used throughout the song, making it quite relaxing to listen to. The lyrics are emotional as with most Shawn songs and he sings them with such passion, making it such an amazing song. Overall score: 7/10.

2. Mercy

The opening humming in the song is so catchy but gives me goosebumps every time. This is probably one of my favourite songs on the album. The overall beat of this song gets me so hyped up and almost angry... it gets me in my feels every time. The chorus and bridge are really climatic with Shawn hitting the high notes you can just imagine that neck vein POPPING. The overall song is so catchy and has a similar rhythm to Stitches and Treat You Better, which are also Shawn's other UK chart-topping songs. Overall score: 10/10

3. Treat You Better

This is also a very catchy song from the album and has been top of the charts in the UK. As well as being an amazing song, the video raises awareness for abusive relationships, which adds another layer of meaning that I love. The lyrics to this song show how much of a sweetheart Shawn is *mini fangirl moment* and how amazing he is. Again there is something about the drum beat and guitar strumming which hypes me up, meaning this is another of my favourite songs from the album. Overall score: 9/10

4. Three Empty Words

After two very upbeat songs, this is much more gentle and only involves guitar strumming, and obviously Shawn's amazing voice. The lyrics to this song are quite heartbreaking and somehow make me miss a relationship I don't even have... (Shawn has magical powers I swear). The lyrics to this song are so mature for Shawn's age, much like all of his other songs, and it seems like he obviously has some experience with loovvveeee...Overall score: 6/10

5. Don't Be A Fool

This song also has quite a slow jazz feel and is quite a gentle song overall. The harmonies and high notes in this song make me so SHOOK. You can really feel the emotion in his voice which is reflected in the small voice cracks throughout which had me so triggered. I wonder what experience Shawn had which inspired him to write this. Overall score: 7/10

6. Like This

This song features the piano at the beginning, which sets the scene for a very emotional song. The backing vocals add more texture and emotion to the song and almost gives it a gospel feel, complementing Shawn's voice perfectly. The changes in dynamics and texture show the vulnerability of Shawn in this song. So far this entire album is a hurricane of emotions and I don't really know how to feel... Overall score: 8/10

7. No Promises

This is one of the saucier songs on the album ;) and shows how much Shawn's music has matured and developed. It also features a female singer who isn't featured on the album, but really goes well with Shawn's voice. This is probably the most vocally challenging song as it has many high notes and runs, which again had me so SHOOK. Overall score: 7/10

8. Lights On

Back at it again with the saucy songs... The guitar pattern throughout this song is very catchy and I honestly had it in my head for a month... This song again reflects Shawn's gentleman-ly nature *fangirl moment x2*. Some of the lyrics had me SHOOK and I didn't think Shawn would write lyrics like this but wow it happened our child is growing up :'). Anyways only negative about this is that Shawn should @ me LOL JKJKJKJK Overall score: 7/10

9. Honest

This is definitely the catchiest song on the album. It is very laid back with a simple melody, but is probably the most fun to sing along to, although it does have quite sad lyrics of Shawn leaving his girlfriend because he's not good enough. :'( Why does he do this to us, he's amazing.*fangirl moment x3*

10. Patience

Now we have learnt every single song on the album is incredibly catchy and gets stuck in my head for SO LONG. This is another very laid back song which features guitar strumming patterns. Overall score: 7/10

11. Bad Reputation

This is another of my favourite songs which includes a violin and piano to add more texture to the song. I feel like this song has a different mood to the other's and is possibly more aggressive. There are many different layers including Shawn's vocables in the background which add even more emotion and passion to the song, again hyping me up and shouting the lyrics at the top of my lungs... Overall score: 8/10

12. Understand

This is a song where Shawn focuses on his life journey so far and actually gives very good advice. I like how this song mainly features just a piano, so you can really focus on Shawn's voice. This song reflects Shawn's success so far and how he doesn't want to change due to the fame. This is a very laid back song with very simple piano chords. This song had me so SHOOK because at one point i thought it ended but then Shawn STARTS SPEAKING and I may or may not have flew out of my seat... The claps, meaningful lyrics as well as the backing vocals give this song a very gospel feel. Overall score: 7/10

13. Hold On

This song also reflects Shawn's progress and how it could be overwhelming. I feel that this song helps Shawn connect with his fans as he does give advice and hope through this song, which makes me feel better if I'm feeling sad. Shawn seems to be much more experienced than what his age suggests and *fangirl moment x4* I am really proud of how far he has come and how he remains so humble even surrounded by this much fame and love. Overall score: 6/10

14. Roses

This song made me cry the first time I heard it... There are many theories behind the lyrics of this song which made me rethink everything. This is another slower song on the album which reflects the emotions shown. It is not in my top favourites, but I appreciate the meaning behind this song. Overall score: 6/10

15. Mercy (Acoustic)

Do I really need to review this? It is basically Mercy but without the guitar or drums and only features the piano. It adds more focus onto Shawn's amazing voice and you can hear the emotion and passion in his voice much more in this version. Overall score: 7/10

Conclusion: I love everything about this album from the order of the songs to the lyrics to the accompaniment to Shawn's voice. He really worked hard on this album and it has paid off and I'm so proud *fangirl moment x5*. I can't wait for more music from Shawn in the future and can't wait to see him perform this album live at the O2 Arena!
